Vimm Community Guidelines
Vimm aims to create an environment where communities can thrive and everyone can enjoy creating or watching the content they like. We want Vimm.TV to be a welcoming place for everyone. This doesn't mean everything needs to be super sanitized all the time. The important part goes back to what we said above.
— Build up, don't tear down.
- Be respectful. Keep things friendly and civil.
- Harassment of other community members is not allowed.
Content (including live streams, stream descriptions, channel bios, and chat messages) is prohibited if it;
- Is sexual content involving minors.
- Is pornographic or contains nudity.
- Threatens, harasses, falsely advertises, or encourages others to do any of the prior.
- Impersonates someone in a misleading or deceptive manner.
- Is posting personal information of others without other’s consent.
- directly attacks a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity.
- Is infringing copyrights.
- Is self harm.
- Is illegal.
Channel owners are expected to accurately label their content. If you run a channel, please do your best to ensure the information displayed on your channel such as the category, the game or sub-category, and the title is accurate and that you apply the proper age filter in "Settings >> My Stream Settings". If you're unsure what age filter you should apply to your channel, please contact us.
Nudity and sexually explicit content or activities, such as pornography, sexual acts or intercourse, and sexual services, are prohibited.
Live Streaming Guidelines
Vimm is meant for live streams. Channels that replay past broadcasts are fine, but they need to include live content at some point in the broadcast. Live content is defined as video media that is not pre-recorded. This could be a face cam, a live person speaking into a microphone, or other media that is produced at the moment of broadcast. Failure to include live content will result in removal of the stream at Vimm's discretion.
As content creators, we have a responsibility to other content creators to make sure they get the credit they are due. You should only publish content that you own, or that you are authorized to share on Vimm.TV.
Read the full DMCA Guidelines.
Cheating in Online Games
Any activity, such as cheating, hacking, botting, or tampering, that gives the account owner an unfair advantage in an online multiplayer game, is prohibited. This also includes exploiting another broadcaster's live broadcast in order to harass them in-game, such as stream sniping.
Closed Alphas/Betas and Pre-Release Games
Please respect all publisher/developer-enforced release dates, embargoes, and NDAs by waiting to broadcast these games until everyone else gets to. Unless given prior approval, your channel may be subject to DMCA takedown by a rights holder.
Any activity that may endanger your life or lead to your physical harm is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: suicide threats, intentional physical trauma, illegal use of drugs, illegal or dangerous consumption of alcohol, and dangerous or distracted driving.
Breaking the Law
You must respect all applicable local, national, and international laws while using our services. Any content or activity featuring, encouraging, offering, or soliciting illegal activity is prohibited.
In order to maintain a pleasant experience for everyone on Vimm.TV, we reserve the right to;
- Enable age filter if a channel owner fails to do so by themselves.
- Remove chat privileges from accounts.
- Remove inappropriate content.
- Disable accounts.
Any attempt to circumvent an account suspension or chat ban by using other accounts, identities, personalities, or presence on another user's account will also result in suspension. Doing so will likely increase the length of suspension and can also lead to an indefinite suspension.
